Parades, Parties, and Presents!
Where to begin...such a simple statement, but true. We had a wonderful first Christmas with Kayden. The first two photos are when we took her to see the Hueytown parade. It was very cold and nothing special to see, although Kayden really enjoyed seeing all the children. Then the following Sunday we celebrated Christmas with her great Memaw. We all had a blast! Kayden loved the paper and bows of course and I loved watching her. The following Monday was Mrs. Wanda's annual Christmas party! The kids were so excited and just nearly jumping out of their skin to open presents. It was also a great time to meet the other childrens' parents. I am going to be posting more Christmas photos with Nanny, Granddad, Nana, Grandpops, Grammy and Grandpaw and of course us! So, please come back and thanks for reading.

Christmas pictures...Kayden of course!
I cannot believe that it is Christmas time, nor can I believe that Kayden will be 8 months old on Christmas Eve. I mean, where does the time go. She is just growing too fast. She pulled up and stood on her own this past Monday. Sure, her brief moment of standing was followed by the thump of her bum hitting the floor. However, she crawling and pulling up on anything and everything. I now understand when people say that I should really cherish these days. These days...will be gone before I know it. I know I may sound sappy but, she simply amazes me.

Just getting caught up.
We are now the family that is not feeling well all the time. I have had laryngitis. Kayden has an ear infection and has been put on an antibiotic that causes terrible diarrhea. To top that off she has decided that she doesn't want to eat either and nevermind sleep all night. I do realize that this too shall pass but, it doesn't seem to be passing quickly enough. On a lighter thought, I decided to post some of Kayden's six month pictures even though she is already seven months old.

Boo at the Zoo and The Pumpkin Patch Too!
We had such a wonderful weekend. We met our friends Alison, Kevin and Raegan at Boo at the Zoo and had a great time. However, I can't wait until Kayden is old enough to really enjoy everything the zoo had to offer.
Then we went to Old Baker's Farm to the Pumpkin Patch. The weather was beautiful. We got to see animals, fields of cotton, corn, and of course, pumpkins. We roasted hot dogs and smores over a camp fire and spent time with family and friends. And like the zoo, I can't wait until Kayden can really enjoy all the activities at the farm and pick out her very own pumpkin!

Trip to the ER.
As much as I don't want to relive this event, Ashley Covin suggested that I blog it, "everyone else does." So, this is going to be my attempt to blog and get over it. After getting home from work yesterday I made a chicken casserole. I had finished cooking the casserole when I decided to open a can of lima beans to go with it. At the same time I picked Kayden up because Bob was coming through the door. My plan was to give her to her daddy so they could play and I would finish cooking. However, I thought, I'll just pour the beans in while I wait on Bob to wash his hands.
But, before I could even pour the beans into the pan Kayden swatted the can cutting her finger. Before I knew it blood was everywhere! Kayden was crying huge croc tears. Bob and I were freaking out and on our way to the E.R. After the resident and doctor and wonderful nurse Ashley Covin seen Kayden we left the emergency room with a clean finger and a bandaid. Oddly enough Kayden cried for a total of one minute though the entire experience and I have not stopped crying.
At the end of the day, my pride as a parent is hurt but, Kayden is great. A hurt finger isn't going to slow this vivacious little girl down

12 hours...Really!!!
Just to give you a run down on the last week. Kayden went to an awesome princess birthday party for Kylie last Saturday. The party included a huge princess moonwalk and a princess castle cake, too cool!!
And once again we had to clean out Kaydens' closet. Which is funny because Kayden loves to look in her closet. She watches so intently as I take every item out that she can no longer wear.
We also went to Jesis' house to watch the Auburn game. Yep, you heard me right...Auburn. Even though Bob, Kayden and I were the only Alabama fans there, we were on our best behavior. Go Commadors!
Now the best part. Last night I put Kayden down at her usual time 7:30ish. At around 3 a.m. she started to stir. I got up went to her room and put her paci in her mouth rolled her on her side and she went right back to sleep. I didn't her another sound from her until 7:45 this morning. Wow!!! This could be a fluke but, let's keep our fingers crossed.

A full week!
This week has been incredibly busy for our family. Kayden has been rolling over in her crib and playing when it is time to take a nap or go to bed for the night. Although she doesn't do this for more than 5 minutes, it seems like forever. For those who do not know Kayden is the only girl that Mrs. Wanda keeps right now. So, on Thursday she got to play with her girlfriends Kadyn and Kylie for a few hours. And, I just had to post the picture of her watching Mickey Mouse, too funny!

"I found feet."
There is no doubt that our house has been crazy lately. It all started when Bob got sick the week before last. He ended up in the bed for nearly a week. Then I went to get Kayden out of bed the following Thursday and she had a fever (right ear infection). With the fever aside, I don't believe she even knew she was sick. But, to top things off I end up in the bed sick by Saturday night. It was a crazy time but everyone is back to regular scheduled programming and we are doing great.
Since the last post Kayden has begun to roll over, and over, and over again. I have been trying to figure out how to post the video so hopefully I will have it up soon. She has also found her feet and everytime I put her on her changing table she grabs them. I should say that lately it seems like when she isn't rolling over, she is holding onto her feet.
Kayden also enjoyed sitting in her bumbo seat and watching the Tiger Bowl. Geaux Tigers!! he-he-he.
